2012 and Planet X LinksPlanet X Forecast and 2012 Survival Guide NASA has announced they expect Earth to heat up to a level beyond anything this world has seen in the last one million years. As a result, NASA speculates that we may see a rise in sea level of up to 25 meters as Planet X (Nibiru, Wormwood) approaches.
A new study by NASA scientists finds that the world's temperature is reaching a level that has not been seen in thousands of years.
The European Storms Lothar and Martin, December 26-28, 1999 The Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale The Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale is a scale classifying most Western Hemisphere tropical cyclones that exceed the intensities of "tropical depressions" and "tropical storms", and thereby become hurricanes. The categories into which the scale divides hurricanes are distinguished by the intensities of their respective sustained winds. The classifications are intended primarily for use in measuring the potential damage and flooding a hurricane will cause upon landfall.
NOAA is predicting a very high likelihood (85% chance) of an above-normal 2007 Atlantic hurricane season, a 10% chance of a near-normal season, and only a 5% chance of a below-normal season, according to a consensus of scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center, National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Research Division, and Hydrometeorological Prediction Center.
The Atlantic Basin had a more active season than average in 2004 with 15 tropical storms and 9 hurricanes, including 6 major hurricanes. The average (based on data from 1944-1996) is approximately 10 named storms and 6 hurricanes, including 2-3 major hurricanes. As of December 12th, 16 named storms developed in 2003, which is well above the 1944-1996 average of 9.8, but consistent with a marked increase in the annual number of tropical systems since the mid 1990s (1995-2002 average = 13.3). Seven of the named storms were classified as hurricanes and three of those (Fabian, Isabel and Kate) were 'major' (category three or higher on the Saffir-Simpson scale).
A comparison of the number of named storms and strong hurricanes (Category 3 and greater).
The 2005 Atlantic Hurricane season is the most active on record. Twenty-six named tropical storms formed … breaking the old record of 21 set back in 1933. Thirteen storms became hurricanes … breaking the old record of 12 set back in 1969.
Monthly Tornado Statistics
On May 3, 1999, multiple supercell thunderstorms produced many large and damaging tornadoes in central Oklahoma during the late afternoon and evening hours. Some of these storms were killers, including the twisters which moved through and/or near Dover, Shawnee, Perry and Bridge Creek, and the Moore and southern Oklahoma City metropolitan areas. The Fujita Scale The official Fujita scale category is determined by meteorologists (and engineers) after a ground and/or aerial damage survey; and depending on the circumstances, ground-swirl patterns (cycloidal marks), radar tracking, eyewitness testimonies, media reports and damage imagery, as well as photogrammetry/videogrammetry if video is available.
What follows is a listing, with short descriptions, of the killer tornadoes that have occurred this year, along with anecdotal accounts of several others. New tornado activity will be added at the top, but within an outbreak, the tornadoes are listed in chronological order. Killer tornadoes that have occurred in other places are listed under their own category.
Clear skies were a rarity in Romania and Bulgaria during the summer of 2005. For the latter half of September alone, ground station data collected by the World Meteorological Organization show that the two countries received more than 200 percent their normal rainfall.
People have begun returning home as water levels from heavy flooding in central and eastern Europe, which claimed about 43 lives, begin to drop. BRUSSELS, Belgium -- The European Commission has called for a disaster relief fund to be set up in the wake of floods that have devastated towns and cities across central Europe.

MUMBAI, India -- Nearly 750 people have died from torrential, record-setting rains that soaked Mumbai and triggered mudslides in the region, police said Friday.
We have increased our forecast for the 2007 hurricane season, largely due to the rapid dissipation of El Niño conditions. We are now calling for a very active hurricane season. Landfall probabilities for the 2007 hurricane season are well above their long-period averages. | ||||
